Broken Items/Write offs/Donations

Good afternoon!

I see that you are wanting to remove stock from items you have in your inventory, including broken items, donated items and items that are write offs.

What we recommend is creating a customer called "Write Off" which you would use for any transaction that would involve the above listed items. Set their tax group to exempt because you don't want to be charged tax on the item that you are discarding.

Now create an invoice to sell the items to the new Broken Item/Write Off customer:

1.) Select Customer sale
2.) Input the SKU of the item(s) that you want to be discarded/given away etc.
3.) Edit the price of the price of the item to $0.00
4.) Tender the transaction

What this does is remove the stock from your inventory that you no longer want/have. Another thing to keep in mind is if you are wanting to donate items for $0.00, create a new customer with the name of the charity or donation place and do the sales process as described above.
