QUESTION:
Is there a way to set up a payment method where the customer does not need a credit card, but they could place the order Online – such as a store account?
SOLUTION:
Virtuemart does not currently support a Store Account Online Payment Method. The only Payment Method Types that would work in this case is the "Address only / Cash on Delivery" Payment Method Type.
To setup this Payment Method Type:
1) Login to your Joomla Control Panel (yoursite.com/administrator)
2) Go to Virtuemart Manager then click on List Payment Methods and then choose New
---Place a check next to "Active?:"
---For "Payment Method Name:" we typically enter "Cash On Delivery"
---For "Code:" enter "COD"
---For "Payment method type:" select "Address only / Cash on Delivery"
---Configure other options as needed
