QUESTION
I would like to know if there is anyway I can print an inventory report by a specific bin location rather than the bin location report which runs for every location? If there is a way to pick only 1 location it would really help in doing spot inventory checks.
Thanks, in advance.
RESPONSE
The answer is Yes. It is simply a matter of selecting a Query to filter the report by just that one location. You will need to know the exact spelling of the bin location you want to report on.
1) Go to Report Center
2) Choose Inventory Reports: Stock Location Report
3) Select Run Report [F7]
4) On the Sort Items Selection screen, activate the option "Use Query Wizard" by placing a checkmark in the box.
5) Choose OK [F10]
6) A Saved Queries screen will open. You will need to create a Query for that one bin location, and then save it so that it can be used as often as needed.
--To Create The Query
a) choose NEW
b) highlight "Bin Description"
c) choose Next
d) select "Is Equal To" and choose Next and fill in the complete name of the location.
OR YOU MAY
...select "Begins With" and choose Next and fill in the beginning characters of the location
e) choose Next
f) choose Finish
g) you will be asked if you want to save the query. Choose Yes and give it a name.
The report will then run and only report on that one location.
You may run this Query as often as you wish without having to redefine it each time.
