I spoke with help today on how to zero inventory and we got it to work, however I have a number of items that still say they are pre-sold. There are no pending orders for these items and if I highlight the pre-sold in the inventory list it brings me to a page with no record of customers waiting for the product.
ANSWER
Apparently, the ZERO INVENTORY routine in your version of PFW did not clear out the PreSold fields.
This can be fixed using topscan and mass update option. Here are the directions, but if you are unsure, please call and we can walk you through it.
1) Make a backup
2) Exit PFW and come to the Choose Company Screen
3) Highlight your company and choose the Utilities button
4) Select Topscan
5) Go to File: Open and select inventry.tps in your data2 folder.
6) you will see the word SUB FILE = Barcodes. Click on the word barcodes and choose ITEMS subfile.
7) Go to File: Mass Update
8) Enter a 0 in the Expression box for the line NSBR (The NSBR contains the value of PreSold. By entering a 0, then all inventory PreSold values will be cleared out.)
9) Choose the Apply Button.
10) Exit and save changes.
