QUESTION
Is there a way to create a coupon that would print on the bottom of
customers receipt to tear off and bring in next visit? We want to do
something like that and date it for use in January to drive people back
next month.

RESPONSE
Option 1
A very simple solution is to use the "Policy Statement" tool to create a coupon type document which is part of the 40 column receipt.

1) go to Maintenance: Definitions: Policy Statements.
2) highlight Invoice
3) in the box below, create some typographical borders and text announcing the coupon.

For example,

*******************************
******** JANUARY COUPON ********
**** Valid from 1/1 - 1/31, 2013 *****
**
**
** etc.

This will print at the bottom of every invoice.

You can create your coupon in NotePad and copy and paste it into the Policy Statement box

And it is very easy to modify.

Option 2
You could take advantage of Advanced Printing which can print an additional 40 col form at the conclusion of the invoice. This is much more difficult to create but prints a separate strip based only if certain items are included with the original purchase.
