Error: Missing dsiPDCX.ocx file

When you open POSitive you may get an MDI error and another error message that reads in part 'missing dsiPDCX.ocx file'

--- PROJECT SUMMARY---

Some antivirus software applications are incorrectly detecting that files provided by Datacap for use with POSitive software are malicious and removing them. Datacap has reported this issue to various antivirus software makers and they should've released new virus definitions. To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below.

--- STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS ---

  • Step 1: Make sure you are using the latest virus definitions (consult your antivirus software vendor for details)
  • Step 2: Next, white list the C:\POSitive folder in your security protection software applications (Antivirus, etc)
  • Step 3: Next, download the 'dsiEMVX.zip' file to the C:\POSitive folder from here: ftp://ftp.gopositive.com/pub/support/dsiEMVX.zip
  • Step 4: Next, unzip/extract the downloaded file's contents to C:\POSitive\PFB (root POSitive installation folder)
