Getting errors after entering a new customer and locating that customer in the Customer List by typing the first few letters of the customer's last name. Performed Verify/Maintain Data (TPSFIX) on all files. Now, it appears as though the Customer List is completely gone.
ANSWER:
The header information in the CUSTOMER.TPS file may have been corrupted. The solution may be to run Verify/Maintain Data (TPSFIX) on One File - CUSTOMER.TPS.
1) Exit PFW and stop at the Choose Company screen
......(getting to Choose Company can be done in various ways. At the desktop, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it down while double clicking the PFW icon. Or, while in PFW go to File: System: Company and activate "Select Company At Startup")
2) Highlight your company
3) Choose the Utilities button
4) Click Yes, click One File
4) From the Data2 folder (or wherever your data folder is located) select CUSTOMER.TPS and click OK
5) Close and run PFW again
