Ordering Enough Product On A Purchase Order

PFW is not suggesting I order enough product. I go to Prepare Order List and generate a new list and it only suggests I order 4 of an item when in fact I should be ordering 15. The minimum stock count is set to 16 and I only have 1 in stock. And what is odd, it says I have 11 on order already, but I don\'t have any purchase orders pending. What do I do to correct this?

ANSWER:
For some reason or other, PFW has not properly sychronized the numbers of what is on hand, on order, and needing to be ordered. This could be the result of some deletions, some computer or network malfunctions, or perhaps human error.

VERIFY/ADJUST ONE ITEM
The immediate solution is to \"Verify/Adjust\" the product so that PFW will confirm the true status of the item.
1) Highlight or edit the inventory item.
2) Rightmouseclick and choose Verify/Adjust
3) Enter the current stock count or leave it as is.
4) Now you may generate Prepare Order List and the correct number to order will be suggested.

VERIFY ALL INVENTORY
If you suspect other inventory items are in need of synchronization,
1) Make sure no one else is using PFW on another computer.
2) Go to Inventory: Maintenance: Verify Inventory Files
3) You may leave the default settings or make changes as you see fit. (Press F1 for online help.)
4) Choose Process. When this is completed all inventory should be in sync.
