How do you post an inventory item? I am trying to select an item and place it on the order list but a window comes up and says the item is unposted.
ANSWER
An unposted inventory item is one that was created on the fly while handling a customer invoice. The item was not found so the clerk chose to "Fast Add" the item to satisfy the customer quickly. The item must then be later edited to make sure pricing, category assignment, and other settings are following standard store operations.
1) Go to the Inventory List
2) Choose the ESC menu
3) Select Unposted
4) Highlight the item and Choose the POST button IF NO CHANGES ARE NEEDED.

Edit the item as needed and when you close Inventory Detail, it will no longer be considered Unposted.
You can now add it to the Order List.
