I am trying to setup PFW on a workstation. At the Choose Company screen I selected "Always Choose This Company" and I chose a station number to be used by this computer. Whenever I exit PFW I have to go through the same routine every time. What is wrong?
ANSWER
A computer running Windows XP can limit access for users who do not have administrative rights. Login as an administrator and complete the steps for running PFW so that two files: retailer.ini and pfw2.ini can be saved. Then login as a restricted user. PFW should run properly.
Note: One should also make sure that the shared server is sharing full control; that is, the workstation has permissions to read and write files.
