QUESTION
Wondering if there is a way to change the cost a product came in at after the PO has been processed?
We do not receive the contracts showing final cost (minus discounts) until after we have received our product. Sometimes it's out by a few dollars and we need to be able to rectify that.
ANSWER
Yes there is a simple method for changing costs.
Go to Purchasing: PO History
Highlight the PO in question
Choose View PO.
Edit the line item(s) with new costs and change the cost value.
(NOTE: do not change quantity values)
When you close the PO, costs will be applied to both items still on the shelf and items which have already been sold.
