First, you will want to get ALL stores running the most current version of PFW.

1) Download the file ftp.gopositive.com/pub/positive/alpha/pfw2003.exe
2) Make a copy of the entire PFW folder (as a precaution)
3) Run pfw2003.exe and point the installation to the correct existing pfw folder
4) Run PFW (check Help: About POSitive to see that you are running the correct version 2003.3b.3 (or better)

If I am correct that you are having problems with mismatched invno numbers, the resolution is going to be practically painless.

Step 1) Both Master and Remote Stores
Do a send and receive to make sure all information has passed between stores.

Step 2) Remote Store
--make a copy of the entire PFW folder (just in case)
--go to Receive POs and void/delete purchase orders -- master store will resend the transfers later.

--Run PFW and go to File: MultiStore: New Store Wizard
--Choose Remote
--Choose Next, Next, Next PFW will RENUMBER inventory. ALL items in the remote store will have invno numbers in the 1,000,000 range. This is good. There has been no stock count changes, layaways are still entact, and \"life is good.\"

Step 3) Master Store
Go to File: MultiStore: Send Data Now
--Choose Send Department/Category Files -- just to be sure the remote store has the same dept/cat structure you are using.
--Choose Send Master Inventory List -- this sends the master store\'s entire list of inventory.

Step 4) Remote Store
Remote store receives data sent from master.
When the new emails are processed, PFW will compare SKUs. If the incoming SKU matches a SKU in the remote store, the remote store changes its invno number. If there are no more matching SKUs, then the remote store retains its 1000000 numbering of inventory.

FINISHED: everything should work properly, transfers should work, layaways and orders should be fine.

Step 5) Master store
Resend transfers

Step 6) Remote store
Receive and process transfers

*********************
Out of Curiosity - Remote Store runs topscan.exe and opens inventry.tps In the subfile name Barcodes, sort by invno numbers and see what items have the 1000000 range. In theory, there should be none unless the remote store has manually added inventory items with SKUs unique to the remote store.
