How to transfer inventory which is at the remote store to the master store.
1) The store that possesses the inventory needs to initiate the transfer.*
2) This can be done in one of several ways, but the simplest method is to go to Help: Multistore Toolbar and click on Transfers.
--- Choose the Inventory View tab.
--- Find the SKU in the list at top
--- Highlight your store in the FROM group
--- Highlight the receiving store in the TO group
--- Click on Transfer [F5] button and enter a quantity.
3) Choose the Pending Transfers tab of Transfer Manager and choose Process button. You will be prompted to print a report and asked if you want to send now.
4) After all has been sent, the other store can choose receive and make sure that all items are received through the PO created at the originating store.
(*Note: there are some screens where it looks like any store can initiate a transfer between any other stores, but my testing shows that that is not really the case.)
